How did you check the line? Did you put a vacuum gauge on it with the engine running to see if there was vacuum? Is the line connected to the back of the intake manifold? There is a 90* elbow that the line is inserted into, is all of that intact?
Another item to check are the check valves in the fender area that contains the vacuum canister. The fittings for them could be cracked.

Yes sir, the line held vacuum from the fender area all the way to the manifold. I will check inside the fender area for cracked lines
Opened up the fenderwell and there was the problem. This car had been sitting for over a year and rats or mice had made their way into the fender area. There was a nest, along with some chewed up vacuum lines. All fixed now
sorry I did not take pics. I'm not even sure which vacuum line it was. I just repaired the ones that I saw damaged inside the fender well and it solved my problem. Good luck.
I think I found the problem with P0410 reoccurring for three years... I disconnected the AIR feed hose and I have a very weak flow. This leads me to believe
The vacuum system is fine, yet the pump itself is bad / worn. It does shut off after 1.5 minuets, but it is so weak the O2 sensors would never detect the input of fresh air.
OK guys, out of my “Corvette Curiosity” I did a little “researching”... I commanded the AIR system with the scan tool and the pump puts out exactly 1 psi with no check valve installed but only on the left bank...with the check valve installed and the pump on my exhaust back pressure didn’t move...I used the manometer on my smoke machine and the pressure was 3.5 inches of water (.126 psi) !!...now at the other end the exhaust pressure at idle didn’t move the gauge...at 3000 RPM I had 3 inches of water which is equivalent to .108 psi...MMM ??...now a P0410 is an airflow DTC...pump, solenoid, or a relay... now, this is a question for “Capterics”...I see you are a ASE Master Tech AND an L1 to boot with 45 years under your belt... when I reinstalled the check valve and did an AIR system “active test” why did my upstream O2’s on both banks go RICH instead of lean??...they stayed around 800 Mv while the pump was on..,they were switching normally after the pump was shut off !!...short terms didn’t budge !!...I don’t have ANY AIR system DTC’s..what do ya think ???...also have you installed the new AIR pump ??...I’m curious as to what kind of airflow it has coming out of it...thanks !!
I installed the new pump and applied vacuum to the supply valve at the outlet side of the pump... the air blows out very rapidly. Enough to easily unseat the check valves. The system still doesn't work, though. I blew smoke back through the vacuum hose and found a break under the battery tray, repaired it. Still wont work. The control solenoid must have sucked battery acid into it. I just got the new valve and need to remove my RF tire and rear inspection cover to replace it. Note: You CANNOT access the valve from above. In closed loop the 02 sensors should switch from .2 to .8 volts rapidly. If the system is working properly, when the pump comes on, the voltage will drop and recover almost instantly because the ECM see's the lean condition and increases the pulse width for the injectors.
I hope this helps. My tags expire today and I will post a final note when I finally fix this. A horrible design to say the least.

I looked inside the check valve and it looks like nothing in there actually “unseats”....thanks for the O2 sensor info but I think I’m pretty “up”on those things...LOL !!...what I did find out is that there is a bias voltage on BOTH of the O2 sensor wires...5.00 volts on one reference and 4.55 on the other !!...some claim that cleaning their check valves cure the P0410 and it’s NOT from the exhaust flow going into the system but cleaning allows more airflow into the exhaust manifold...working at my co workers shop so I can get the “time” to take my ASE test...then get my L1...will try to work part time when I retire doing mobile diagnostics...working in aviation for 43 plus years is BORING...LOL !!...have a great holiday weekend !!
Firstly… An 02 sensor will never cause a P0410 and neither will an open check valve.
Second… Congratulations on your future; You can make a ton of money, however it will come with a cost. I am certified in Mining, Transportation and Automotive. I’ve made over 4 million. Now, I’m retired and in constant back pain… Heck my whole body hurts! At 62 I cannot complain… A Heavy Duty or Automotive Cert. is the Best move you can make! All the Best,
Eric, definitely !!...but most will want to change them !!...I’m almost 65 and thank God no pains...I still surf and still very active !!...was talking to the owner of a performance shop a few months ago and he said to get into the business of going to body shops and scanning the cars before they go in for bodywork and then checking them when they get repaired !!

I’ve owned 2 very successful shops and 1 mobile business. Somethings I've learned... #1. Never get into high performance… It’s a money and reputation Killer. #2. Doing diagnostics only, will shut you down if you make a mistake and charge for it. #3. NEVER alter a system to pass a smog test... It's a $10,000.00 Federal Fine and a Felony. (I refuse to do it) Hey, if you know your stuff, the skies the limit. (I just don’t need the headaches anymore) Plus, if you do it by yourself… you don’t have to “Baby-sit” stupid wanna-be Techs. BTDT… Go for it !!!

Eric, thanks for the advise...I don’t expect to do this work a lot or expect to make a lot of money...just like to keep the old noggin sharp....and I would like to concentrate on C4,C5, and C6’s and make some more YouTube videos I started to do a while back on my channel...just picked up an in-cylinder pressure transducer last week to work with my Picoscope so I
have a LOT to learn there...luckily there are training facilities in this area like TST in New York and some others so I’ll be taking advantage of those so thanks again and have a great Labor Day !!
Right on, I fixed my AIR system and OR. passed smog. What difference... You see, my car was in constant open loop because of that pending code. When everything was corrected, it is in closed loop. I bought this with this problem and now that I have fixed it, it's the difference between night and day. This C5 runs completely different... NEVER run ANY vehicle in open loop! My Best, Eric
Maybe you can help me out... When I shut my hood, it wont latch on the RH side all the time. I cannot find an article on how to adjust the latches!??
