This should be my last update on this post. Pulled the starter, went had it tested after trying to clean and breaking the lead post off. Tested bad as I expected. Got the new one about to throw it and see how it does. Thanks for all replies and advice, just didn't want to spend money on parts not needed.
New starter in and fired right up. Funny how car started at every attempt prior to pulling it out, but once I pried the corrosion connector and bolt off it was done. With ESC tune and new exhaust the car pulls and sounds like a beast. Makes it all worth it.

Consider it a blessing. That corrosion on the solenoid was horrible.....and would have left you stranded for sure.

Yes Sir, you are right about that. Glad it didn't. Best part is I still have a warranty that covers the starter and am getting reimbursed for the cost, but since I did the work, not the labor.
Glad you got her back on the road. Just came across your thread & want to add my adventure.
Had similar issue but no corrosion (under 9K miles on 03). One post in Tech suggested hitting the starter solenoid w/a block of wood while someone turns the key to start at same time.
Followed that suggestion and started right up. That was in the garage. Second time it happened was in a parking lot. With help of a stranger turning the key & the hit, it started right up again. Didn't have to jack it up but wasn't going to tolerate a third time. Got a brand new starter/solenoid at CarQuest & got it installed before my buyer drove it home on 1K mile trip.
Wanted to add this in for anyone doing a future search on issue.
