I have a 2001 Corvette - had parasitic drain -tested drain using Bill Curlee method - removed 1 fuse at a time - no change in drain - removed all fuses and C.Bs - no change in drain - disconnected starter - no more drain - replaced starter - connected starter wires as disconnected - all fuses and C.B.s reinstalled as removed - no drain on battery - tried to start car - starter works great - BUT car wont start -tried to wake up BCM (removal and reinstallation of fuse #25)- checked DTC codes - no new codes (only history types)
What is a C.B. in the context you used? The relays?
Did any of the modules show as "no comms" when you checked the codes?
Does the fuel pump run?
Did you check to see if the engine has spark?
Did you double and triple check that you got all the fuses and relays back into their correct locations?
The BCM must be working to allow the starter to engage, otherwise the security relay would not engage the starter.
no modules show as "no comms"
no fuel
no spark
I took pictures of fuse boxes before I removed the electrical devices - I have checked and rechecked the reinstallation of the fuses and C.Bs and relays.
Alarm horn blows - I think that the anti-theft system is on - I have tried resetting the anti-theft system as recommended by a number of sources - key on wait 10 minutes - key on /crank for 2 seconds/wait 10-12 minutes/try again (3 times) - no luck
I think the BCM is working as all other functions seem to work.
dazed and confused
ehi
(C.B. is an abbrevation for circuit breaker) sorry I should have spelled it out

How do you know the engine is not getting fuel? Did you take a reading at the rail? Does the fuel pump run?

Have you tried a different key? Your key might be worn enough that it's not triggering the password function properly. I recently had to change keys for this reason and mine was doing the same thing you describe above.

If the key was not being read by the lock cylinder, the engine would not crank.
