DIC read " Charge System Fault "????
I was driving with the Air Conditioning on yesterday when i noticed that the air coming out of my vents was warm ..So i turned the AC off and then turned it on again , thats when my DIC read " Charge System Fault " and my AC would not turn on .
I waited a while and tried it again and it worked.
Any other members experience this problem ? It seems to be working fine now , but i think i trip to the dealer might be a good idea.
I'd hate to have AC problems on my next trip to the Desert.

I have had that happen every now and then...just think it happens for some reason if the alternator isn't putting out enough juice for a second.....not sure though...

Do you have an UnderDrive pullie also? From BLUTHUNDER signature, I notice that his has one.

Are you driving the A/C -10% all other -15% with the UnderDrive pullie? I am wondering if that is the problem.

No I don't have an underdrive pulley. In the past when this happened I had it checked out and nothing was found wrong...it seems when I get the problem is just after I start up or if I get off the clutch wrong and the engine stumbles slightly, thus rpms drop but engine running and it causes this code/display on the DIC...

Hex29 , yes i have had the underpully changed... Pewter99 , thanks for the input.
I guess i will leave it for now , i also have a 1300 Fosgate AMP installed ..So maybe thats drawing some extra amperage.

I get this msg too every now and so often. I replaced my battery with optima red top - didn't make any difference.

Seems to me a forum member posted a few months ago to have the negative battery cables checked... the dealer replaced it and this solved their problem. I have had this problem occasionally when starting the car-- goes away after a second or two.

I had it occur once while slowly backing out of the driveway - never saw it again. I just assumed that it was an engine stumble of some kind. Never had an issue with another system (ala the a/c) not working (that I know of).
