Just today I got in the car and wasn't even out of first gear and the DIC said "active handling warming up" then a minute later it said "active handling warm up complete" or something similar.
Never seen this before.
What does it mean and why is this the first time I have seen it?
Its COMPLETLY NORMAL! It happens when the EBTCM isnt allowed to do its Steering Wheel Position Sensor zeroing routeene because of the way you were driving. You most likely didnt go straight long enough for it to do the complete test.
Unless it comes on and stays on, theres nothing to worry about.

"If you start the car and immediately drive forward with the wheels turned sharply, it will cause the "Active handling warming up" message." Quoted from another site.
Another person said- "Try checking your grounds. My car did for quite a while and it turned out to a grounding problem."
and yet another- "Yeah,My 03 did that for a while just after the warranty ran out!!And then after about 6-8 months,I got to send the ABS Module off to be rebuilt!!"
Mine does this occasionally. It happens under the first scenario. Wheels turned sharply while driving forward. That is the only time it happens on my car.
