Default Never fails

I just want to post a shout out to the wonderful tech level folks on this forum that make owning a Corvette so much easier than it would be if we were all left to the mercy of dealer shops!
I bought a 2000 coupe in December 2011 with 38K on it, and thought I had a great deal at $20K. Turns out however that the car has had at least the hood replaced and a complete repaint with a color change. No big deal I guess, love the color and the car runs and drives terrific, but I thought I was getting a cherry.
Since December 1, I have had to replace the IPC with a reman from ISSPRO (highly recommended), repair the HVAC control illumination (re-solder the resistors on the board, and today I had to repair the multifuntion switch due to a shutdown of the cluster and running lights the night before.
I have done all repairs. Might not have been likely without this forum. Dealer shops are not worthy in my book, and tech manuals are just not as detailed as my compadres on this forum. I just want to say thanks to all of you guys. As has been stated in many posts, it is because of you that many of us can afford to own a Corvette, and likely the reason we keep them on the road.
