I searched the forums and I am still not clear. It is a 3.90 Quaife from RPM. They states 3 heat cycles consistin of driving for 30 minutes at varying speed. They said then it is ready to go. They said I do not even have to change the oil. The not chnaging the oil really concerns me.
When I got my 4:10's new from DTE they said to drive under 50 mph and keep rpms under 3K for 500 miles then change the fluid. No sudden take offs. Most differential builders recommend similar same break-in procedures.

You should be doing some figure 8's in parking lots too to break in the oil into the rear end clutch packs. I heard not doing this will cause rear end gear whine.... Just what I heard. When I changed the fluid in my rear end I did multiple figure 8's to get the fluids into the rear end clutch packs. No issues with gear whine here.

I did the same with my DTE. Their instructions and warranty were very specific to break-in.
