Need to replace the electric ignition module....thus need to pull off the key tumbler....any bear traps here??? ....what do I need to watch out for??....electrical part should be "plug and play"
yes it's fairly easy. Just install and your good. There's a tab at the bottom of the lock cylinder you push in to release it. You have to have the key in. Not too difficult.

My tumbler is fine.but i heard the switch behind it can cause issues with.security light.and ive got abs ane high voltage warning a few times.trying to weed everything out
I just installed a new key cylinder and didn't find it too difficult. Once you get the panels off it's pretty straight forward.
i had to replace mine because my key would not go into the cylinder. Luckily I got it in one last time so that I could turn the key to unlock the cylinder.
