Default Bassani X pipe

I currently have the B+B prt catbacks on my 2000 coupe, the sound is nice, but I was wondering what the difference would be if I put on the Bassani X pipe, would it be louder? smoother? quieter? etc. The reason is I know someone who is selling one and can get a good deal on it but if its not going to make that much of a difference I will pass on it.

Thanks,
Rob

An X pipe will not make much of a sound difference IMO.
Didn't on my C5 .

I have added an X crossover on a 383 in my C3 and recently on the LS 1 on my C5.
In both cases, the exhaust sound went up an octave and, was a little quieter and stopped burbling during slow deceleration.

I have the Borla Stingers and after having the exhaust about a year I installed the Borla X pipe and it really made everything much better. A better tone overall. It was well worth the cost.

If you just add the x part of the pipe but leave the cats the only thing that changes is the tone. I had a stock cat pipe with a bassani x and b&b catback on my frc when I bought it. Sounded good. Recently went with longtubes and a custom 3'' ss xpipe. Totally different car in how it sounds and runs.

I have the corsa xpipe with no cats, no mufflers...It burbles and hacks all over the place on decel, not much of a power difference. I do love the tone under acceleration
