Why not spend a little more and get a Dewits, all aluminum radiator? Far superior to the standard un

I just put the Dewitts one in my car last weekend. I am very happy with the quality. My crappy plastic end oem one cracked. My temps run between 199 and 205 in town and on the highway.

Curious what your outside temps are when you see these temps. Also, stock thermostat?

Thanks for the replies. Someone recommended http://www.speedcooling.com/Radiator...r/prod_41.html

Anyone have experience with these? Seem real similar to the Dewitts at half the price...

You don't get similar for 1/2. There are reasons. Here is a recent thread where Tom DeWitt bought one to check it out. Chinese knock-off is what is sounds like. Also, there is more to aluminum than aluminum. Tom's response starts in post #8.

I bought one of these. Cools extremely well. Mine was marked 'Made in USA'. Solid aluminium, perfect installation, never seem temps above 202F with stock thermostat. Why pay the corvette tax if you don't have to.

"Engineered Cooling Products ECP is located in Chicago, IL and dedicated to solely aluminum radiators. We don't manufacture headers, rims, exhaust systems, intakes, cylinder heads, etc. - just aluminum radiators. We do one thing and do it well. With our radiators offering the best cooling possible at a great price, our small Ebay business quickly blossomed like wildfire from selling a few radiators into selling 1000s of radiators to referrals of satisfied customers. Our approach to cooling your car has always been straight forward".

My stock engine never had any problems with the stock radiator. The car is setup to run hot. I think it's for emissions. This in 115 degree heat. You can get the fans to turn on sooner, but it has to be done via software.

I added a Dewitts later because I added heads, cam, and eventually a 402. The Dewitts radiator really is a nice fit. It's rare that an aftermarket part just drops in without having to bend, cut or grind that.
