Default C5 Header Install Question???

Just trying to figure out a game plan before I get rolling with the bold-on's. I have a 98 C5 Auto. Just bought a LS6 intake, vararam, underdrive pully, and a set of long tube headers off cf. When i install the headers (unsure of namebrand?) I plan on removing the cats and getting tuned. My question is, will an exhaust shop be able to tie in my long tubes to the factory exhaust after removing the cats, or do i have to have a off road x-pipe? Has anyone installed a set of long tubes without a x-pipe?

Here is the link to see a pic of the headers i bought.

The factory exhaust is 2.5". How big is the collector diameter? They may have to tie it in with some kind of reducer. Most long tubes will reach past the cats, so it should fit fine. Just needs welded in.

No exhaust shops in my area will touch the car if it does not have the cats in place.

I wont have any problems deleating the cats here in Louisiana. Just need to know if it is possible to do it without x-pipe?

You just need to find a steel fabrication shop in your area that can tig weld . It is a simple weld to make if you take the x-pipe out of car. Just need some tubing to fill the space in that the cats took up. Muffler shops generally do sloppy work with a automatic mig weld , unless it is a performance shop.
