clutch help plz
Hey Guys,
When I bought my car I put in the F1 Racing stage 4 clutch with a chromoly flywheel...I broke the clutch in properly for 500 patient miles
the clutch is rated at 550 hp and torque and I am at stock levels.
the clutch shakes and shudders the whole car from time to time when engaged, even 3000 miles later, but that has lessoned somewhat...but it still give a fairly violent shudder sometimes when engaged....the clutch chatters a lot and I can live with that, but the shuddering sucks
now its doing a new thing...when the clutch is slipped it gives off a sound like Godzilla's high pitched roar from the old monster movies...kinda a blend of a groan and a roar...sound just like a slightly lower pitched version of Godzilla's roar
so now I have lots of chatter, strong shuddering and shaking of the car, and this Godzilla sound...
please tell me this is not just the normal antics of a higher performance clutch making noises and vibrations lol
what am I looking at...is there an install or manufacturer's defect that can cause all this.
any clues that can point me in the right direction would be very helpful
