Code C1226 comes on everytime I hit a bump. Does this mean that I need to replace the passenger front hub?

Maybe. You should first check for a damaged, loose or corroded connector.

If you have to replace the hub its better to do both at the same time. Its not a hard job. Check and see if the connector is corroded.
