Funny there was a TPMS thread yesterday. Well, the answer AFAIK is "no." It'll show that code every time you start the car, you have to repair/replace the TPMS to get it to stop. I like having the TPMS info so personally I fixed it.
A poster on here had some eBay links to some very good deals on TPMS, even for the older style...I am sure they will chime in.
You'd have to replace the BCM with a newer model that has the setting. Likely need 2001+ since the option was added to allow the TPMS to be turned off in the Z06 cars.
the system is working but i think if i put sensors in my 20" whels it
probebly get high tire pressure on the screen. Is the bcm a expensive
box to replace??
Why would you get a high pressure warning? The cars are rated for 32psi with the stock tires and, if anything, you run less pressure in wider, lower profile tires to keep the tread wear even. I run 30F/28R in my 19" tires.
If you're following the marking on the tire then you're looking in the wrong place. There is a sticker on the drivers door that gives the recommended tire pressures. It's in the same location for most newer vehicles

100% on the mark! I have 19" X11.5 wide Rear CCW rims. My ideal tire pressures are 28 REAR COLD!
Why on earth would you run more than that pressure??
