broken ebrake cable... how to fix?
Hello everyone, i have a 99 c5 and i believe the ebrake cable has broken. I dropped the car off to be detailed and when i went to pick it up the ebrake does nothing when pulled, it goes rightback down. Went to the dealer and they were not much help. I'm guessing it's the cable going from the handle to the bracket connecting to the two rear cables. Had anyone experienced this? Any idea what it'd take to replace. Dealer wants $368 for the cable assembly.

I'm thinking it may not be the cable bc if i hold the parking brake up it will hold the car, the handle just won't stay up on it's own so I'm thinking it may be whatever good under handle up. Any idea?*Thanks!
