Speakers

I am planning on upgrading the speakers and head unit in my C5. I've read that the front speakers are 3.5". Aftermarket speakers seem to be 4" not 3.5". Do the 4"s fit without any modifications? Does a brand sell 3.5"s that I'm not aware about? Also, do the speakers need to be shallow?
