I had wheels from 1998 corvette put on my 1997,and when i started the car to leave the tire shop it started moved about 4 feet and died. It will do that every time, and it gives a service column lock but column is not locked.Car had to be towed home. Could this be break control module. thanks for any advise on this.
Make sure that your battery is in good shape and FULLY CHARGED. Clear ALL the DTCS and then try to start and drive it.
If it fails after that,, you have a column lock issue that your going to have to resolve. If it back to normal,, you better be ordering and installing a cloumn lock bypass (recommend the LMC5 bypass..
well i have tried all advice on the service column lock problem. done research on the car it had the ebcm replaced at about 70000 miles had the same problem i"m having now. Can the ebcm be repaired or do you have to replace it. thanks for all the advise on my problem.
yes i installed the by pass has"nt changed anything. dealer is saying if the ebcm is bad it causes abs not to work if abs does"nt work when you put the car in gear and start moving it will die.Is this true.
