Alright, I opted for the C6 gear and shafts for the diff. They are good for around 900hp according to RKT. So I pulled the trigger on them and some new diff clutch springs. And last but not least, a Pfadt transmission brace to get that done while Im at all this.
I ended up spending allot more than I wanted too. But now I will have a pretty bullet proof drive train for up to around 600 horse if I get there with a supercharger in the future.
I did the same. I figure those parts are strong enough that if the case busts, and it spits the ring gear out, the shafts will just be laughing.....
I think it will be fine, and if the ring and pinion ever go, I wont feel bad because they whine all the time and are very annoying. So it will be in with all new components.
Now once the install is done I can go back to the engine build I have been slowly buying parts for since well before this whole rear end build. Looking forward to a car that actually works right "for once" after all the modifications. I have had rotten luck with f-bodies and imports.
