C5-R blocks are usually made into a 427. If that's the case then it could be making 600hp NA. I don't know what to look for to identify the block as a C5-R though. It probably has a part number or something on it but I don't know where to look.

The block is capable of that N/A, but not with that cam... it would have to be substantially more aggressive along with fully ported and polished heads and a wealth of other top notch mods.

Back in the day (b4 the LS2 came out) people would sleve and stroke the LS1 block and make it a 427 with 243 heads... 600 HP is bit of a reach though - like a long reach... Even if you measured at the crank, it's a long reach...

Still not sure what to think. Id say 450-480 if lucky. Thats just from what Ive seen in your set up spec wise. Of course I wish you upwards of 500. That would be great!

Why don't you go have it dynoed? Its pretty cheap to dyno if you dont due a dyno tune. Just tell a shop you want to see your numbers.

Sounds like some dreaming is going on.

A C5Z06 with an aluminum frame?

Titanium connecting rods? Possible but not likely in a street build.

It'd also be retarded to modify one "parameter" at a time on a dyno. To take a simple example, you would not change the on temp of the fans and write that and then go back and change the off temp and write that. You do it in one write. And besides, you are writing the new parameter to the flash memory of the PCM so what else would you call it besides flashing or reflashing the PCM?

Are you looking at a whole car or just the engine?

Wow, I really, really doubt it is a C5R anything. Mostly because of the expense of a c5rblock compared to a more readily available block with the same displacement. Also, I really doubt someone would buy a C5R block, Mod the rearend to a C6 zo6, add a "viper/zo6 transmission", and then leave 243 castings on it.

Its at worst a plain old rebuilt and worked ls6, and at best maybe a 383 with ls6 heads. An ls6 stroker might make 600hp on an engine dyno but that would probably be a ****** curve with a ridiculous cam.

The ad just sounds like it was written by someone who had no idea what he was talking about.
