DCM DOOR control MOD problems
From the DIC the Codes are -Bat #1 and Bat #2 for for both DCM's and for the RDCM - loss of communication with the BCM.
The BCM shows no codes. but the RFA shows loss of communication with the BCM. They are all H codes. I have just installed a new battery as one of the diagnostic answers is the voltage. It had no effect.
I have the 3 Vol GM manuals for the 01 Vette but I would need a scan tool to figure out their diagnostic procedure. I went to a local GM dealer to discuss and he said they would put new door controllers in at a cost of 800 bucks but I am capable of taking the doors apart and doing that but am worried that its not the DCMs but some other component..
Thanks for any help or suggestions
Mike

Check the door harness connector (s) at / inside the accordian - the rubber boot from door to the body too. they are frequently loose.
RFA / BCM are recieving a signal if unlok works, right? GL!

Disconnect the door power connector and see if the female pins are deformed and making a poor connection:

Fix any bent or deformed pins so that they make positive contact with the male pins. I have a spare male pin that I use to make sure that the female pins make good contact.

I have also seen fuses that are loose in the fuse holder. I break an old blown fuse in half and insert it into the fuse holder pins to make sure that there is good contact at the holder.
Use a meter to make sure that your getting proper voltage out of the fuse to the motor and DCM.
