Default Input on DEPO Headlights?

Good day everyone. I have been thinking about picking up some DEPO headlights for my vette.

For any of your that have them, what are your thoughts? I hear issue with aligning the low and high beams? How is the install if them?

Any input would be helpful.

Don't have but I would not buy them. I don't like how they stick up like frogs eyes. Plus, they just seem...cheap...quality.

I'll throw a pitch for a Forum Supporting Vendor...Radioflyer...checkout his site...his stealth light canons look pretty awesome, and he uses high-quality components. There are cheaper ($$) light kits out there, but IMO, you get what you pay for. However, compare his satisfied customers to the "satisfied" customers of lesser alternatives.

Here's the link to the SLCv2: http://shop.radioflyerinnovations.co...lights-007.htm

P.S. Not knocking anyone that likes the Depo look...not for me, that's all.

Edit: one additional thought: I bought my HIDs from "the auction site" and had an issue with the high beam alignment/pattern. Long story short: couldn't get them aligned, so I just aligned the low beam HID and called it quits. Don't really need the highs when you have HIDs for lows...

Saying that radioflyer's lights are better is a subjective opinion. I am really only interested in those that have them installed to give me their feedback on my questions. Thanks.

I too was looking for a Fixed Light and after review of various products RadioFlyer V2 was the best option for me. I wanted something close to flush and his kit gives me that plus the entire kit is top notch. I have run them at speed on the track with no issues. Light adjustment is easy. Install takes a bit of time, but nothing you cant do if you have basic mechanical skills. The amount of light they produce is great.
Very happy with them.

The style aspect may be subjective, but not regarding performance. The quality of the projectors that radioflyer uses is objectively better.

However, desire for performance is a subjective request, and the DEPOs are more than adequate for many people.

Personally, I find radioflyer's style more visually appealing for a non-pop up.

If you're not set on a fixed headlight, also check out JWM's low rise Sun guns. They are very appealing (subjectively speaking) and are great quality (objective fact based on materials.)

If you're merely looking for someone to validate you purchasing the Depo's go for it. I've seen plenty of people that like them, and they look ok. Some had fitment issues, but I think it's pretty inconsistent in that regard.

Guys, I was really only looking for people to chime in that have them installed to hear first hand about my questions. I have a set that i am looking at purchasing but want input prior. Not interested in purchasing any other set of lights or types at the moment. Only looking for input on DEPO lights.

Thank you

I have DEPO headlights, but have little experience with them since the install due to the body shop having my car for the past 8 weeks.

In my short time using them, I noticed the low beams were firing high. I haven't attempted any adjustments so far. I have HID bulbs in them and they're really bright.

All things considered including price, I'm happy with my decision to put the DEPOs in so far.

I like my DEPO projector headlamps. They do fire high but can be adjusted underneath by an adjustment screw using screwdriver. Using the side of a building, so far away, there is a calculation how high the light should project. I still need to lower them a tad. I made my initial adjustments 3 feet from the wall in my garage. The projection could be lowered another 6-12" as some think my brights are on. And yes, these projectors are bright!!!

Thank you guys for the details. Do you guys use the high beams at all? If so, do you have regular bulbs or hid there as well?

If you order the DEPO Projector headlamps, both sets of bulbs, normal night lights and high beams are both high intensity. You can elect to purchase a balast to make them even brighter. This is what I did but found no need for it. If you want the balast to push the lights to max intensity, I will sell you mine. Brand new in box. Never used. Make offer if you want this additional intensity if you buy the DEPOs.
