Default another dyno tune thread

I have a 02 coupe 6spd with a vararam cai and xspower longtubes and thats it. I am going to get it dyno tuned at XXX motorsports here in Pensacola and just for sh- - and giggles wanted to know what you guys thought it might pull. I am not exspecting a whole lot being how its stock other than those two things and a cat back which is not gonig to help any on a dyno . Just thought I might get some numbers thrown out there and see how close it gets in finale result. Just a thought dont beat me up over this I am not looking for true numbers and wont be mad with any results just thought I would ask and see what everyone thought they might end up at. just a guessing game .

I think you could put down 330 at the wheels. I recommend doing some spark plugs before you go in. A lot of people are having good results form the NGK TR6 plugs. They are one heat range cooler and allows for finer tuning. I currently run the TR55's but was told I could get better results if I switch to the TR6's.

What are you going to tell the dyno operator that you want?

Dyno numbers are one thing. Actual street tuning once the car is dialed in will make the car perform better in real driving conditions. Make sure that your tuner does some dynamic tuning adjustments when you drive the car on the road.

An 02 has 350 crank HP
On a 6 speed you should subtract apprx 10-12% drivetrain loss to get your RWHP
So a stock 02 has about 315 RWHP
Realistically your mods add apprx:
CAI --------------- 10-12 RWHP
Catback exh------ 8-12 RWHP
Taking your 315 and adding the minimum amgains that gives you about 333 RWHP
Now the long tubes can very greatly on results--the key is accurate tuning which s a MUST to get the full potential from your headers---RWHP gains can be as high as 30--Most common are usually bewtween 18-25---
Again taking the minimum amount that would give you CONSERVITELY about
351 RWHP---
PS If you get the MAX amount from your mods and tune --you would have
364 RWHP

Thanks for all the reply's , will soon let everyone know when I get it tuned what the numbers are. Right now the car is down for a day , had to order plug wires , the ones on the car where the original wires and they just feel apart when removing them to do the headers. New plugs and wires and now lets go see if we can blow it up .

Good advice on the wires. Wish I would have changed mine before my dyno tune. What type of dyno is it? If it's on a dynojet (what I ran mine on) I'm guessing about 333 rwhp to be exact! Lol if it's on a mustang then be prepared to run under 300.
