Default 2001 Headlight Motor

Motor keeps running about 5 sec AFTER CLOSING. Sounds like motor like a grinding sound. It is the Mechanisim that is right on headlight area. Only on closing. Can feel the loud and hear vibration, any help ?

I had the same problem a few moths ago with the other side, if I remember is was not real expensive to do. The way that little device looks it may be fixed by yourself but I will wait for a reply.

The gear is plastic , and the teeth are geting stripped off , causing the skip , it will get worse , very easy fix , if you look it up under your favorite corvette parts supplier , there are lots here , about $50 for the kit , and about an Hour to fix if you take your time , very easy fix , the replacement gear will be metal , to prevent this happening again

Looks promising.

My right side headlight doesn't make noise, but it has stopped halfway quite a few times and i had to turn it off and back on for it go up fully ( passenger side ) it also like shakes weird when it goes up and down, not smooth at all, wonder if this could be a chewed up tooth or two on the gear causing it.

It could very well be. I replaced both gear sets in my 01, last year. Patches' DIY tutorial was helpful, as was the kit from Rodney.
