2004 C5 will not start
I have a 2004 C5 coupe. Have had no problems. My wife went out to start it this morning and it wouldn't do anything.
All lights are working, bells, etc. Battery is good and good connection.
When in the on position and all lights go out, the check engine light stays on and the check gauges light stays on.
Has anyone had this problem? Is there a reset ?
Thanks,
L.W.

Turn the key to the CRANK position while some one WHACKS
the starter with a whacking tool.
If it starts, you either have a bad connection in or on the starter OR the starter solenoid is going bad.

It goes out like normal. The only lights that stay on are the check engine and check gauges with the key on.
Thanks,

Did you try the above suggestions? pull the code or hit the starer. Mine just started to do the same thing so I have to take a whack at it every now and then. Time to by a new solenoid. The two that posted above me know what they are talking about.

Just take a few extensions and join them together and put it between the manifold/header and strike down on the solenoid. Should take all of 10 seconds..

Got this bad boy running! Wacked it! Thank all of you for your help. Hope I can return the favor someday. Now is the time for a new solenoid.
Thanks,

I'm posting from my phone but if you search you can get the solenoid for about 26 bucks shipped. Matter of fact search my username and I think I have a link because I was going to do a how to since there isn't one.
