Its probably just the from air damn scraping..most lowered vettes have to replaced the lower valence evey few years. no big deal. Its there to capture and direct the air flow so dont remove it.
How high is your car, measured from the bottom of the rocker panel to ground? On level ground, measure the distance to the ground behind the front wheel well and in front of the rear wheel well. On my car the distance is 4 inches. I do have to be careful going in and out of some parking lots and going over speed bumps. The front air dam has about 2 inches of clearance and scrapes regularly, which is no big deal. They are relatively cheap and easy to replace.

i have the car on stands right now.. but will post pics in a couple weeks. Also i would bet its about 4inches to the rocker. Is this a common measurement. Thx
