I'm pretty sure that the sensors were changed in the 2001 model year. The 97-2000 sensors are the same. The 01-02 sensors are smaller and use a different frequency.

New o rings for sure. The valve stem size is most likely the same. The body of the 01-02 sensor is smaller than the 97-00.
I went through this same song and dance when I put 01 OEM hi-polished wheels on my 99. I CAN say for sure that 01 sensors won't work on a 99!
