Default c5 intake advice

Ok guys I have a 2001 corvette LS1 in my reading it says that it has the same intake as a LS6 TURE OR NOT ? Also I just bought a K & N COLD AIR SET UP , what my next step a tune ? I am being quoted $500 for a flash street tune and was told it takes about a hour. Advice please. I am lookin gfor more power with out a lot of mods

Manifold,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,YES,,,,,,,,,T RUE!

IF,,,,,,,,,,, you want TRUE seat of the pants performance AND same if not better fuel economy,,,,,,,,, Make ALL the mods you can afford and then,,,,, have the engine tuned!!

Recommended mods: XS Performance headers with the catted mid pipe, ported TB, VARARAM,,, ANY exhaust system that you prefer with SOUND QUALITY of your choice.

That will be your TOP HP improvement unless you change out the HEADS, CAM and Injectors..

Oh,,,,,,,,,, once you surpass 400 RWHP,,, you better be ready for drive train improvements

If you mean air intake then yes, in 2001 the Z06 had the exact same air intake (filter housing) as the coupe and convertible. In 2002 and up the air filter housing changed to the larger opening for Z06.

I was refering to the intake manifold not the air box , so you saying the intake manifold is the same as a ls6 so there is no reason to change it

Intake manifolds from 2001 + LS1 = 2001 +ZO6 manifolds!!
