I've got that whistle on my 2001... it's funny somone asked if it was supercharged when driving in my car...hehehe!!! But I agree, I'm kinda leary about a dealership tearing into my vette over that whistle noise.
I'm hoping to get 'em to apply to '00s as well....I'd love a LS6 intake :D
More power to you if you can convince them to do it for you, but you may be in for an up-hill battle. The problem stems from an unused cavity in the 2001 version of the "LS6" manifold. So, if you do not already have a "LS6" manifold then the bulletin does not really apply. Now given most dealers actual knowledge and competence level  I like your chances for putting one past them. This could be the one case where poor dealer service works to your advantage.
