I did not see it but it must be here... What is the procedure for lifting a vette? I hear about opening the doors and unlatching the top (convertible). Seems to me there can't be all that much body flex because I can hit some damn awful pot-holes and the car will flex more, I would think that just gentle lifting from one point or another. As long as you have a sturdy lifting point, what would go wrong?
The frame just inside the front fenders and there is a cutout in the rocker panel at the back. Hockey pucks fit the rear cutout perfectly.
Whoever posted to open doors or unlatch the top has no clue. I don't have a ragtop but a coupe and ragtop both have the same strength. I've jacked mine in every conceivable way and it's never flexed enough to notice any misalignment at all at the doors or hatch or hood. The C5 structure is very stiff.

I pulled into a tire shop to get a leak fixed. They had a low profile jack and pucks but wanted to keep the doors and rear hatch open because the frame might flex! I laughed and closed the doors and hatch.]
