My 2000 A4 coupe was stolen about two months ago. I'm buying a 2002 A4 in a few days for a good price and very low miles. The 2002 has the optional high polished wheels which I want to replace with factory magnesium wheels. Can I use the existing sensors for the mags? Another question - Should I leave the MAF alone on the 2002 or not? Is there anything I should know about the 2002 setup which is different from a 2000? Thanks in advance, Rick
WRT sensors. Note that '02 sensors are different from '00. They will fit the wheels (they are smaller) but are not compatible with the cars DIC module (will throw a trouble code - i.e. they are not interchangeable between years).
The HP sensors will work on the mags as long as they are the same '02 year.
'02 sensors will transmit a pressure signal without the car in motion (unlike the '00 you are used to).
