Based on new ST2 rules, I can make more power and still be legal. Prsently running Ls1 with Ls1 hot cam, Pac 1218 springs, and LS7 lifters. I need to make about 35 more horsepower to at least stay close to the front runners. Anyone have a recommendation for a cam I should consider? Thanks in advance. Jerry

I like many others probably have no idea what ST2 rules are.

What liminations are you restricted to. There are numerous hidden simple things that you can do to enhance performance..

Other than a cam and springs, what other performance have you done.

Port, polish, and mill the heads if you havent already. Should put it damn close or right at (risk going over if done well) 35hp.

LS6 intake if you dont already have one.

My g5x1 on an LS6 (ls1 with ls6 shortblock, 799 heads, did the valley conversion) made 415rwhp through an automatic last night. Not sure what your cam is like, but thats a 228/232, .585/.575 for you to compare to.

Port the TB and if you dont have a 2001+ intake manifold get one.. You can also do some manifold porting. that will give you 10-12 more HP

Leave everything as is, just port Cyl heads, this is what you need:
http://advancedinduction.com/LSX/AiL...cGMLS1Head.php

Let em mill 3 thou, and keep your valves, valve springs....as is...just porting Cyl heads for 995 plus shipping (100 bucks both ways), GM MLS head gasket 50 bucks, GM head bolts 50 bucks (2 heads).

Thats it, and ofcourse Retune most tuners charge less for retune may be 200-300 bucks includes Dyno....so for 1500 bucks total and your labor......boom another 40-50 HP..done.
