Default new headers

hello, just picked up my car from the garage had LT headers cat delete and B&B PRT exhaust installed!!! ya im pumped i was wondering what anyones take on a dyno tune would be? heard since i got rid of cats it should be tuned....

ANY OTHER MODS?????????????????????????????????

Any other mods planned in the future?

If it were me, I would add vararam cold air intake and then have it tuned.

Who are you going to have do the tuning??

hello, i already have a vararam cai ported tb its an automatic and i made an appt at cartek in newjersey.


hopefully i see a big hp increase thanks for reply

Need tune. I was told its possible to melt a piston. Anyways you should another 10 just from tune

Unless your tune is completely jacked up and or you haves some really weird tuning issues, adding headers should NOT damage your engine.
Sure, it will need tuned but, the PCM will or should (if it properly functioning) adapt for the added air flow.

Your LTFTs will normally go POSITIVE and that will make your WOT Power Enrichment (PE) AFRs more rich (RICH is safe) Not good for max power or efficiency but safe

Its always a great idea to data log and figure out what the addition of headers or any mod does to your tune.

I added headers to my 02 Z and my 06 Coupe and drove it untuned for many months. My only issue was crappy fuel mileage and nasty carboned exhaust tips.

Do you need a tune after a header install? Yes. Can you drive safely until you tune it? YES.

Thanks for all the replys and I am gonna put minimal miles until the tune. I will post some numbers after the dyno tune

Has anyone ever used cartek in New Jersey?
