Guys...it's installed and couldn:t be happier with it. My first effort was OK through the forward gears but Reverse wasn't so good so I called and spoke with Geo and he is great with advice/help. I then went through the re-install process as he suggested and man what a difference. After having had a B&M and Kirban shifter in my car, the MGW by far is the smoother, more precise in its gear change and QUIET. Changed out the shifter box as well and can tell you this shifter is stone quiet (no vibration rattle up the shifter) much like the stock unit. Thought I'd share my experience with you guys as some may be on the fence with a shifter change.

I installed an MGW shifter a few months ago. Much better than stock but I often have a problem going from 4th to 5th gear, it is not as fluid as going from 2nd to 3rd. Sometimes it gets caught and sometimes it goes back to third. I e-mailed MGW to see if there is an adjustment.

I love my MGW shifter too. I'm curious, what did George have you do differently on the reinstall?
He suggested I repeat the install process emphasizing alignment with the factory shifter pin etc. He also suggested I make certain the shifter box bolts were tight and that the shaft that exits the shifter box had not rotated slightly. So....I redid it all and the end result is I am now a happy MGW user.
