Its a common issue for the LS1. Usually the belt. 9 times out of 10 a goodyear gator back main drive belt is the lasting cure. I chased this issue when I first bought the car. I first replaced the belts and the chirping came back, then proceeded to change the idlers and tensioners. It ended up to be the belt again! The highly recommended gatorback was the end cure.
