Default Question about seperator install

I installed the standard glass bowl type about 400 miles ago and haven't caught anything. I just want to make sure I connected it right with the arrow side toward the motor. I can't find the instructions to verify direction.

If it was backwards, I assume I would throw a code??

I had very little success with the glass bowl seperator. As soon as I installed an actual purpose built catch can, BAM,,,, lots of oil collected in the can...

Make sure that the PCV valve is allowing air to flow INTO the intake manifold. The manifold SUCKS air thru the PCV valve and the catch can.

Arrow should point in the direction of air flow.It should point toward the intake.

That has always confused me a little. PCV(Positivie Crankcase Ventilation) infers that there is pressure that needs to be relieved? I recently changed my catch can set up to go from valley cover=> PCV valve => catch can => breather => atmosphere. I also blocked off port going back into intake. There is no more vacuum evacuating the crankcase. I am hoping after a few track days that an oil analysis will tell me if it is evacuating properly. Thoughts?
