Lost keys
I have a friend who has lost the keys (door and ignition) to their 1998 corvette. It hasn't been driven in over a year (long story) and I believe the battery is dead. As this year car has the PKE anti thief starting system, what are their options for getting into and starting their car?? My vett is too old to have these systems so I need advice to pass on from the newer generation. Thanks

Be careful about trying to charge a battery in that condition. If you do try, get it out of the car to charge. If it pukes it's guts you can ruin the PCM (Power/Engine Control Module) located beneath the battery. Would get a new battery, make sure it is charged and then install.
PS: Your friend may have to be the one to get the key. I would assume (hopefully) they want to see the driver's license of the person who has the title/registration.
