Good way to trash your crank snout. Our crank/balancers aren't keyed, and you run the risk of spinning the balancer on the crank using that method.
So now I have to ask, how do you plan on installing the new bolt?

Couple of people broke the block casting with this method, you got lucky. You might want to consult the service manual prior to installation as the number of wrecked crankshaft snouts due to improper installation at this point is too many to count.
