Guarantee that is my EXACT problem. Funny the trans was just recently removed to be rebuilt too, and is still under warranty. I complained of problems with the shifter alignment to begin with at the place because it didn't feel right. I bet it wasn't put back together properly!

Here is the original post for proof I was complaining the shifter wasnt right to begin with from day one I got it back... so now what?!? This guy doesn't want to repair it and AAMCO Corporate won't do anything about it since they are sold as local franchises! I'm beyond Irate now......

I know how you feel. Been there myself. Just consider it a life lesson NEVER take your valuable car to an everyday franchise fix-it shop. Either do your own work or find a reputable Performance shop in your area.

Having said that,...I assumed you paid with CC and not cash. If so then you should call your CC company and complain that they do not stand behind their warranty. IF it seems you are going have to have the tranny pulled by another shop to fix it then I would do that. You will need to write a letter to the CC company detailing what you have done so far. The CC company will withold funds to that company until its resolved. Even if they have already been paid they will hold off someone elses funds to make up for it.

I would make one last attempt to call the manager of the AAMCO and complain. You may even have to say you are going to escalate this issue as they do crappy work and their warranty is worthless.

BEFORE you do any of that you need to make sure your shifter is properly aligned. I made a detailed explaination of this a few months ago. I had a similar issue that was mostly resolved by doing this.

Thank you, that is a great idea. I will read the link you provided now. Seems like this may not be a common problem on many C5's? What would cause this? Thanks
