Default Where do I put this now?

I'm installing my power duct and the little hose that once was tucked into the accordian coupler now has no place to go since I'm putting in the smoothie tube. What do I do with it? 98 coupe

I have a 98 as well. When I installed my Calloway Honker they told me it isnt needed. I just took it off and saved it with my other corvette parts. I think its used to put any unburned fuel back into the thorttle body.

It goes to your Fuel Pressure regulator and senses vacuum or pressure inside the ducting between the MAF and TB. It does need vacuum to lessen your fuel pressure at IDLE. You can drill a small hole in the duct and use RTV to seal it in place.

Measure your fuel pressure and then apply a vacuum to the hose and watch your fuel pressure change slightly.

But there won't be any vacuum at idle in the intake duct before the throttle body....

I removed mine (also a '98) and capped it off under the FRC with a rubber nipple. No problems.

Drill appropriately sized hole in housing, insert grommet, insert vacuum line. Done.

You got me brother,, GM calls it a reference signal and its suppose to be able to control fuel pressure.

One of the very first mods that i did to my 98 MN6 Coupe was to get the ZIP Products Fuel Pressure Regulator recalibration kit. It changed the location of the fitting to one of the vacuum lines on the passengers side of the TB.

I do even think they sell it any more.

I really don't understand why it connects that way or what the point is.

The line to manifold vacuum makes sense. Lots of applications use that connection and it keeps the fuel pressure across the injectors constant as the intake manifold pressure changes.
