I'm trying to move my DS window back about .25" to quiet some wind noise. I have the door panel off & I've removed the two window clamp access plugs. I can see what's obviously and adjusting clamp in the forward access opening, but not so sure about what I'm seeing in the rear access opening. How do I make the adjustment from this point?? Help is greatly appreciated.
There are 2 small inverse torx headed adjustment screws you can reach through the plugs in the bottom of the door. They give some adjustment, but I'm not sure you can get 0.25" back with them since they are mostly up and down adjustments. You can see them through the access opening. They are a bolt running vertically through the brackets with a white nylon cap on the top end.
If you put the window part way up there are a couple of nuts that hold the plastic track clamps onto the window. Loosen them and then move the glass whever you need it.
I'm !! Problem solved. I was looking in the wrong access port for the window clamp. For some reason, I thought both clamps were next to each other -- instead one is on the front of the door, the other is on the back. Adjustment is made & wind noise is gone. Thanks!
