My car pulled the no start, out of the blue 2 weeks ago. Gave the solenoid a couple of whacks, started right up and has worked ever since.
I'm sure it will likely quit again.
So I bought a new Bosch starter from NAPA. Picked it up today. It has the beefier mounting and came with the longer bolt. NAPA was having a sale, so got it for $129.
I also bought a solenoid from EBAY, $25.....I'll install it on the old starter and use it for my turbo 5.3 project. There was no starter on the L33 from the boneyard.

I had the same issue just bought the solenoid from ebay for 25 shipped. Did the swap and starts everytime saved me ALOT of money. I think most people just buy new starters when it's usually the solenoid that goes out. I should start buying old starters.
