I am going to be starting a TT project next weekend and may have to cut the rear center compartment to fit them in the rear of the car. Has anyone done this or any links or any advice on this so i can get some ideas on how to close it off after I cut it etc. ?
STS has a twin turbo kit and it doesnt require any body mods. What are you using that requires mods?
Its just SMC and is easily cut with an air grinder. You might look into tubbing that car cause you are going to need the extra meat under it to get any sort of traction.
I have twin 68mm with ar70 and 81 exhaust so these are significantly larger than the STS little baby turbos. The issue for me lies in the plumbing. I am not running the charge piping through the body like sts so i need more room in the back for bends. I am not 100% sure that I will be doing this yet but I am looking into options for a back up incase when I start fabbing I run out of room.

We have removed the center trunk area on a few C5's which basically makes it like a C6 for ease of working on a regularly raced car, or for extra room.
I do not have any pics handy, but it's pretty basic thing to do really. We used coated sheet aluminum and rolled bead lines threw it so it wouldn't make any noise and add some strength to it. Use sealant and screws, done.

Good luck with it.
