Default 2003 C5 / Many Issues like earlier C5's?

I have a chance to buy an excellent condition beautiful 2003 C5 with 32000 miles at a reasonable price.
My question is:
In your various opinions, will the 03 have less electrical issues/problems then a 1997.
All input will be appreciated.

The biggest improvements seems to have been made for the 2001 model and up. Increase in HP and TQ plus a host of other improvements that a search will uncover. Good luck.

P.S. I just picked an 01' vert' with 28k miles on her and I like it better than my C6Z!

03's seem to be good.. 97-00ish seemed to be tempermental. 02's Z06 had some valve spring issues but LS1 springs are fine from what i understand. 03-04 Z06's were my 2 choices when buying my vette cause they seemed to have less goofy issues... Found a 31,000mi '04 Z06 Com. Edition. and bought it.

03's should have all of the improvements that were made over the course of production, and one downfall I don't personally like. Late in 03 and in 04 the fuel filter was moved to inside the fuel tank. Also, the cross over pipe design was changed and has leaked on some guys (there is a TSP on this). That might be worth looking into but in my opinion shouldn't be a show stopper for a low mileage well cared for car. My 02 has similar mileage and quite frankly is babied.

Don't have a C6Z but just got a '01 vert and am loving it more than my 10 year old '98 coupe.
