Headlight cover alignment question
I replaced the striped gear in the headlight motor yesterday, and when I got it all back together, it doesn't have the same body gap all the way around. When I had the assembly out, I didn't notice a way to adjust it, but I may have over looked something. When the gear was striped and the lid was closed, it had about the same body gap all the way around. Now it has a big gap in the top right corner (towards the window) and is almost touching in the lower right corner (by the front bumper). When I did the gear change, I didn't remove the headlight lid. Any help?

Just adjusted one of mine, manually raise lite, remove bezel, remove 4 screws holding cover to an adjustable frame. loosen 4 screws on frame and rotate, I had to reattach cover to check for clearance, remove, readjust and check, took several adjustments to get it right.

I had mine off a BUNCH before.
After the first time I found it really tough to get it PERFECT.
The second time I removed my covers I decided to make little alignment holes.
I made them on both sides, and one in the back.
Now when I put my covers back on, I slide the little nails in to align the cover, and tighten up the screws.
BAM ! Perfect alignment EVERY TIME !
