Default Alarm problem or horn problem ??

Hello All I have a question concerning my 2002 Vette. Yesterday my car was just sitting in the driveway and I heard the horn blowing. I figured something must have set off the alarm, i unlocked the door and inserted the key and started the car. The horn still continued to blow, i finally disconnected the battery to turn off the horn. has anyone else had this problem ?

Thanks

You can tell the difference, when it's the alarm, it's a series of honking. When it's the membrane, it's a single long blast (normally). Also the lights don't flash with a bad membrane.
