I'm considering buying a supercharger for my 2004 convertible. It seems like ProCharger and A & A are the most common brands for C5. I'd appreciate comments and recommendations on both brands to help me make my decision. Your real-world experience will be invaluable. Thanks.
What are your goals with the car? Just more power, or to race it? Just fun on the street? A supercharger is a great add on for a street car. Lots of go fast, with stock like drive ability.
Call East Coast Supercharging in Cream Ridge NJ. They sell and install trouble free systems daily. They'll be able to get you what you need.
You can click the link in my sig for there website.
thank you for the recommendation. I just want more power for street use w/o being too obvious. I've owned the car since new and have added some bolt on stuff and headers, and you know what an addiction a Corvette can be. So much stuff available.
Thanks for the recommendation. I hope to hear from more supercharger users. My Performance shop is a ProCharger dealer, so he recommends that one, but I've read in the Forum that the ProCharger can have some belt problems. Others say A & A is most reliable. I just want to do my due diligence before I jump in.
You have settled on a centrifical SC or will you consider a roots system?? Do more research off this forum. You know what you
will hear from those that have SC that theirs is the best....
You should make a list of the things you want your vette to do
with a SC. Then find a system that matches your goals.
I am not going to say which system I have but it is the best.
Good luck.
Thank you for the comment, but I don't know enough, yet, to even know what a roots is; I hope to learn from experienced people like you. By the way, what brand is your SC?
Are you doing it yourself? I'm installing mine if you wanna see what's involved. I have teh best of both worlds. Procharger on a A&A bracket. If you have any question let me know.
