Default Ground Stud

I was working on cleaning my grounds on my 1999 FRC Corvette. Specifically the one on the drivers side. When removing the bolt and nut. Of course the stud/bolt broke. I went to my local Chevy dealership to see if I could get the part. I was told they do not make the part anymore. It seems as though it also needs to be copper. I searched online and found some hits although it seems the part is out of stock. Part number 10278878. Any ideas or help would be great. Thank you!!

I snapped two studs off on my 98 coupe.. Just find a self tapping metal screw and drill a pilot hole in the frame and remove all the rust and damaged metal where the Ground connector will ground to.

I used a dremmel tool and a small burr and smoother out the area. Drilled the hole and socked down the screw1 FIXED!

I got the screw from home depot. They also sell them at any home electrical supply house

As long as theres a good solid connection to the frame, the system isnt pickey on how and what you use to connect it.

The next best way to repair is with a rivet stud from mcmaster carr or similar. Requires a special tool.
