Ok so I have the front cradle dropped and the torque tube unbolted from the bell housing, is there anything else that I need to unbolt to get the engine to separate from the torque tube? The alignment pins are free and i have pried and pulled on the engine with no success. Does anyone have any ideas what is going on?

The car is a 02 Z with a rxt twin disk.
The only thing that I can think of is that you are trying to pull up on the engine while pulling it forward. You can't pull up on the engine until it is far enough forward for the input shaft from the TT to come completely out of the splines in the clutch disk. If you are pulling up and out the friction from the shaft coming out of the the clutch disc at an angle will bind them together. Pull the engine forward, then up....not at an angle. Make sense?
Others have done this. I've seen pictures, but have never read the threads. Maybe there is a trick to it? Just shooting from the hip based on my experience when I did my clutch job.
Yea I think my problem was that the engine and torque tube wernt inline with each other so it was binding. I ended up getting a ratchet strap and hooking it to the engine to put some pull on it while I got under the car and tried to line them up the best I could and used a pry bar to get it to move. Finally I was able to get some help and while I was using a pry bar had my dad wiggle the engine and it slid right out.
Glad you got it out. I would think about replacing the stock pilot bearing with a bronze bushing before you reinstall. If you reinstall the engine at an angle to the TT you could destroy the pilot bearing, necessitating separation of the TT from the engine again. Just a thought.
How do I tell if its a stock one, I would imagine that it would have been replaced when the clutch was but since the previous owner had the swap done Im not sure.
