Help with indentification and basic clutch maintenance help
I have had my 02 Z for right at a year now previous owner did maintenance on the car before i bought it, too be honest i am a bit clueless when it comes to clutch systems and seemingly get further confused as i try to search for answers so was hoping one of you friendly guys would set me strait/put me on the right path.
The fluid seems a little cloudy so i would like to get that fixed as soon as possible just not sure how to use a remote bleeder, or if anything needs to be done with a adjustable master cylinder.
Just like bleeding the brakes.. Use a syringe to SUCK the fluid out of the maser cylinder and refill with FRESH Dot 3/4 brake fluid.
Have some one sit in the drivers seat and press the clutch. Open the bleeder and catch the old fluid in a soda bottle. Shut the bleeder and have the assistant release the clutch. If it doesn't return, pull UP the pedal with your foot. Fill the master and repeat until the new fluid runs clear out of the bleeder.
Tip i use when doing brakes that should work for the clutch bleeder as well.If you put the wrench on the bleeder valve, then put a piece of rubber vac hose over the outlet of the bleeder and put the other end in a pop bottle you wont make a mess when bleeding the system.
Kinda like this... Just dont mistake it for Whiskey when done YUK!

When you bleed brakes or in this case the clutch, you have to remember, the bleeder valve when open, will allow AIR ,back into the system when you release the peddle/
SO,,, here is what you need to do.. Push the pedal and hold down, open the bleeder and allow fluid to flow out.
When it stops, SHUT the bleeder and tell the assistant to release the pedal. Have them press it again and repeat the process until the fluid runs clear and or all air is out.
