What is the wire on the pcv valve, the one that hooks to the bleeder on the engine.New one doesn't have one

Its a ground for the PCV valve. I dont know why its necessary though.

That is because it is not a ground. It is used to transfer heat and warm the pcv valve in cold weather.

Oh, well either way its useless and I ditched that whole setup when installing a catch can.

Thanks for the replies,Looks like I'm gonna ditch it too, Same as I bypassed the stupid water line going it the throttle body
